Putting aside leave or remain, I really have loved seeing all these debates and votes and especially hearing The Speaker shout "The nos have it. Unlock!" Grin

no.

AutumnCrow · 03/04/2019 19:13

I find Mark and Dr Ruth very soothing (BBC Parliament channel)

MythicalBiologicalFennel · 03/04/2019 19:14

Me too OP Grin

It is interesting to see how desperate May is ..
Each day she desends further down the scale .. how low can she go.

joystir59 · 03/04/2019 19:16

i am addicted, it is the best reality TV and I love the theatre and ritual of it but also find it frustratingly slow.

prettybird · 03/04/2019 19:16

While I've been engrossed and now know far too much about parliamentary protocol, this meme seems to sum up the current situation Wink

Anyone else really enjoying parliamentary procedure?

I was actually hoping that if more people are watching the Parliamentary procedure, it might become a bit more streamlined etc.

RosaWaiting · 03/04/2019 19:17

x post pretty bird - thank you for that Grin

MockerstheFeManist · 03/04/2019 19:24

Even MPs don't get it right.

Currently sitting in Comittee, they are incorrectly addresssing Lyndsey Hoyle as "Mr Deputy Speaker" which since he is not in the chair he is not.

EggysMom · 03/04/2019 19:27

I'd agree OP - putting aside which side of the debate is correct (if indeed there can be a 'correct' answer), I do find it interesting to watch the amendments, votes, indicative votes etc. I tend to watch the BBC News website live-feed though, rather than actually watch the tellybox.

Eateneasterchocsalready · 03/04/2019 19:44

Yes!
Just remarked to DD that a song will come out....

Unlock unlock the eye's have it,the eye's have it. Unlock unlock orrrrdeeeerrrr. Unlock.

It's been wonderful. Politics is so thrilling right now , how will we cope when we get out and it all settles down!

It will be like when a really good Ashes series end's it or the end of the Olympics

hugoagogo · 03/04/2019 19:45

If I had the time, I would go for the live feed, but I imagine it would take over my life.

Remember when celeb used to have a live feed? I had that on all the time, my poor neglected dc! Grin

Fascinating, isn't it?

jasjas1973 · 05/04/2019 20:03

Some of these debates and votes are history in the making and will be referred to for years to come.

What is happening is unprecedented but what is all the more remarkable is the UK has designed and implemented its very own political crisis !

A wise PM would revoke and stop this mess because she is losing control of events.

Bunnyfuller · 05/04/2019 20:05

I enjoyed reading the transcript of the Article 50 debate, not sure I’d want to watch tho! Need to watch blood pressure!

Doubletrouble99 · 05/04/2019 23:10

Like it Prettybird - the 'Fuck-Knows' really do sum it up for me!!

The Parliament Channel has become our fav. in this house for sure.

pisspants · 05/04/2019 23:16

Glad it's not just me! Whilst waiting for the last lot of indicative votes to come in I was watching a 10 minute bill on the banning of Chinese lanterns - absolutely fascinating - an MP putting all her points across, the speaker asking aye or nae at end and as more ayes it goes through and she says who will draw it up! So quick (when it's not Brexit related!)

stopitandtidyupp · 06/04/2019 00:46

I just love the ordeeer orderrr but partial to
unlock too.

Tried to say it in my classroom today ' ordeeer' but they weren't having any of it.

user1497997754 · 08/04/2019 23:45

Love it I am addicted lol

jessicawessica · 08/04/2019 23:50

Yes I cannot drag myself away. It's like watching Dallas on speed

notangelinajolie · 09/04/2019 02:45

It's actually filled the void left when they stopped doing the live feeds on CBB and I'm a Celebrity. And showing my age here but all the back stabbing and treachery takes me back to Dallas & Dynasty days. Division clear the lobby ...

notangelinajolie · 09/04/2019 02:57

I also like the fact that you get the story/debate straight from the horse's mouth so to speak. Some of the reporters on the news channels can get a bit over animated and don't report events in the same way I would have interpreted them and I end up hissing at the screen when something someone says is taken out of context. DH thinks I have gone bonkers - it's a good job I have the telly to myself for most of the day/late night viewing. I really don't know what I will do when it is all over.
