SODEM cancelling tomorrow protest due to threats

Sad that our democratic right to protest is being removed by the threats of a tiny minority (and totally true this is not supported by the vast vast majority of Leavers who are decent people)

It is sensible but sad that the country has become like this. What will it take to put our broken country back together?

This is shameful. There was a leave protest in Trafalgar Square on Saturday, with 1 million remainers on the streets, and they were quite safe.

Anyone who associates themselves with these thugs is a supporter of right wing terrorism.

LoudBatPerson · 28/03/2019 10:27

I would like to be surprised, but sadly I am not.

MockerstheFeManist · 28/03/2019 10:39

Batten's UKIP Brownshirts have been worryingly quiet.

Well sod them indeed!
I WILL drive around my area with Ode to Joy blaring from the car. Come what may.

Exactly. This country is so much better than this. Worth repeating again and again.

At least have a celebratory drink/avocado sandwich in your own home people!!

lonelyplanetmum · 28/03/2019 19:02

I actually think Brexiteers should go and support them. It's a good idea to check out your bed fellows...

bellinisurge · 28/03/2019 20:09

I agree @lonelyplanetmum . Lie down with dogs get up with fleas. Maybe they should check out the dogs they laid down with.

SUTR are still having their counter demo against UKIPs pro Brexit rally. I did consider very hard as to whether I should take the day off work to join them. In the end I decided I didn't want to get caught up in the potential violence. I feel a bit cowardly for that decision, but my family were very relieved when I said I wasn't going.
