Nigel's Brexit Jarrow March

Anyone heard of it?

Nigel Farage will lead a people's march to London demanding we leave on the 29th with no deal.

.....That is, he'll be waving it off.

....And the 'Marchers' won't actually be marching but going by bus. (Think of a slogan to go on the side.)

But they will stop at intervals, get off, and pose in a marchie manner for the Express and Currant Bun.

Good Old Nigel

(Or maybe only two out of the three.)

It's been mentioned on the Westminsterenders thread but it is such a 'non event' it only gets the occasional mention although the occasional Twitter picture of the massed crowds (a handful of folk and a dog).

Mistigri · 19/03/2019 19:18

They are being shadowed by a mobile billboard displaying select Farage quotes (eg if Brexit is a disaster I'll go and live somewhere else) occasionally interspersed with "Where's Nigel?" in big letters. Hilarious.

I feel sorry for the poor fuckers who PAID Farage to do this. God he's awful. Ripping off his own supporters FFS.

Not to worry. Nigel's kids have got their German passports.

Red ones.

And his other two kids are entitled to Irish ones.

This march is cheering me up no end. Let's hope it ends as a damp squib.

{This march is cheering me up no end. Let's hope it ends as a damp squib.}
Well 4 days in and the 'throng' are down to about 60.

Rhubarbisevil · 19/03/2019 21:56

They’re planning to come to a town near me so I have made some banners which read “Down with this sort of thing” and “Careful Now”.

I was going to heckle them but I might just give them some plasters for their blisters and a nice tot of brandy (French) instead.

Rhubarbisevil · 19/03/2019 21:57

Oh, and we can do some yoga.

ContinuityError · 19/03/2019 22:35

There’s a new Breaking Point poster too.

Nige was on the radio saying he had 20 million supporters for a no deal Brexit, I think (it was a bit early in the morning so I may have misheard, perhaps) and they were marching, or something.

Does anyone know how their march is progressing? I saw a photo of a few of them on twitter but no link.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 22/03/2019 21:15

Waste of a bus when a cab would do.

Tanith · 22/03/2019 21:24

If you mean the Today programme, he said 20 million people have joined his march “in spirit”.

Tanith · 22/03/2019 21:26

Unfortunately, imaginary friends don’t pay £50.

Melroses · 22/03/2019 21:35

LOL Grin

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 23/03/2019 13:46

Oh my giddy aunt

Hahahahahaaaahhhahahaahhhhaaaaaaaaa, uh dear

To be fair my dad is probably there in spirit...due to his dodgy knee

So thats 1

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 23/03/2019 13:47

20 million

Where the fuck did he get that figure from

At least make it vaguely realistic

1tisILeClerc · 23/03/2019 13:51

{20 million

No, to make it realistic you take the 'million' bit off that, and then treble the remainder.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 23/03/2019 15:37

60?

(Please god let that be right)

Even thats being a smidge optimistic Grin

DioneTheDiabolist · 23/03/2019 15:41

I think the "spirit" he spoke of (vodka/absinthe/rum) may have had something to do with it.

BeeMyBaby · 23/03/2019 16:00

It was covered on BBC world news...

MockerstheFeManist · 23/03/2019 18:41

Ooooooh! How very Brexit-Game-of-Thrones.

Nigel's Spirit Army of the Dead marching on the capital. I bet they're all white walkers.

Any dragons, Nige?

Do follow 'Led by Donkey's on FB. They are following the march with their vans/screens. It makes me laugh.

1tisILeClerc · 23/03/2019 19:07

In his interview with the BBC? today 'Nige' sounded very cross at the betrayal of a dodgy referendum.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 23/03/2019 20:35

To be fair, all power to those people walking who feel very strongly about this issue

Whether they are walking for leave or remain
