Placard making for next weekend

Thought we could have a thread about placards - ideas for slogans on them, any hints on making them robust (waterproof?) but lightweight, size suggestions, etc.

Dd and I are going to use the bad weather today to do some pro-EU crafting on them

They do work Element as long as you keep the placards to a sensible size. Duck tape on the back.

I was at the kids' climate change march last week with my son and brought along some inner tubes from clingfilm to make into placard poles. (we save them to make lightsabers ) They're short but very strong. Duct tape. Worked well.

Inner tubes are a good idea Glom and maybe more comfortable to hold than bamboo canes?

I have a roll of duct tape, some scavenged cardboard, some bamboo canes, some inner tubes and a box of Sharpies. Now thinking about what to say.

(Will avoid actual swearwords as the DC will want to hold the placards.)

How about on one side:

MY SIDE

And on the reverse:
THESE
PEOPLE
ARE
ON
MY SIDE

???

If you've got double sided placards you could quip that
theresa May isn't on this side... or this side..

or something like that.

Something simple like

Brexits Broke
REVOKE, REVOKE, REVOKE!

or Bin Brexit not my future ( for DD)

Is everyone going to use a pole or just hold it up - not sure I have enough hands with a flag as well?

There some great spoof songs if you look up 'Eurosceptic song contest', there might be a few funny line from them you could use?

Maybe draw some grave stones and put 'Do their votes still count?'

or turn the 'We want our country back, believe in Britain' slogan around 'We want our EU back, believe in Britain'
