AIBU - Westminster is not fit for purpose

I think that Westminster has passed its sell-by date and is letting down us the people by its antiquated procedures. For starters -

  • the place isn't big enough for all MP's to be seated.
  • MP's are seated in a confrontational arrangement which encourages some of the their childish ya-boo behaviour.
  • voting on issues can take 30 minutes, when a simple push button system would give the result immediately.
Does anyone else think like this?

Yup. We need proportional representation. The two-party system is very obviously screwed.

Also the physical building is crumbling. www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/jan/31/mps-set-to-leave-houses-of-parliament-for-35bn-restoration

It'd be just what parliament needs to be moved to a big centre in Manchester or somewhere while works go on. They're supposed to ship out (within London) in 2025 but that's ages away!

The last few days have proved that the government is pointless.

15 days until no deal, the upcoming civil unrest may be a opportunity for the British people to change the government

They may well be, but its the system I'm critiquing not the government.
