I thought, perhaps an update of the 1973 design commemorating the EEC, with the Queen's hand now separate and waving goodbye.

It’s not going to be worth 50p any more after Brexit, so maybe just be honest and make the design look like a 5p coin?

Errrrr regarding a 'proud' Union Jack. Surely the cost of minting coins with different coloured metals would be prohibitive ?

Also the make up of the current flag is looking very shaky. Scotland was 62% in favour of retaining the benefits of EU membership. It's highly likely that following a further Scotref the flag and coins would have to be redesigned removing the ' blue' representation.

Possibly wrong meaning of "deal". This might be better:
Nulla re melius quam malae rei.

I think this coin is not as bad idea as the blue passports. The passports will be a visual representation of the rights that our young people have had taken from them. I will really hate them.
