Just realised the extent of my alienation from Labour

I just read about McDonnell's plan for a referendum without a remain option with the same level of detachment as I would read about the latest Tory clusterfuck. Not even a whiff of disappointment, just the exact same feeling of, well, of course they would do that.

It has hammered home the realisation that I couldn't vote for them. I just couldn't. I know political homelessness is a common problem at the moment, but this is the first time I've felt it as a matter of fact.

I know. My DH came in having heard about conference on the radio and thought he'd be chatty about it with me. ( He's doing it to be kind iyswim as he's never been a political a jmal) I just stopped him short with "I can not be bothered anymore."

It was part of my heritage but it's just gone now.

Similar here.
I was reading it thinking well why would I want a general election for you lot to do exactly the same as the Tories.
It also demonstrated the slipperiness of Corbyn and McDonnall.

So what are Labour supporting? A referendum with a choice between a crap, last-minute deal and no-deal chaos?

Um. Cheers Confused

I've never voted Labour and last year I voted for a small party because I was voting in a Tory safe seat, but if I'd been voting in a marginal I would have voted Labour to keep the Tories out.

Now I'm not even sure I'd do that.

They are an utterly fucking useless waste of space.

Labour have had it and are currently delusional. Voted labour at the last election. I won't again.

Labour lost me a while ago. I would only vote Labour in a snap GE if their policy was "we will stop this shit and stay in the EU if we form a government ". I could just about hold my nose and vote for the anti Semitic woman hating terrorist indulging bastards in those circumstances.

Labour party conference seemed all about an opportunistic power grab. I've always voted labour in the past but the country really doesn't need a general election right now. I am a remainer but it seems they are out to court remain votes without actually doing anything. To be fair, I thought their conference was slick but the message of 'all options are still on the table' straight after the McDonnell 'no remain option' just seems to be about power rather than any belief in a particular Brexit option. I think if they got in on the back of remainers, those voters could feel duped when it came to the actual deal (assuming they took power before a deal).
