Brexit and citizen s' rights: meeting with British institutions

In collaboration with the ministry for brexit and home office, the embassy of Italy in London organizes a meeting in which representatives of British authorities will report on the state of the rights of European citizens resident in the United Kingdom and on the future registration system for the c.d. "settled status" Post-Brexit, with the possibility for the audience in the room to ask questions to British officials.

If anyone is going to this, please could you ask what is the situation for those EU citizens who came to Britain before the EU and Freedom of Movement existed? Those people went through an immigration process, and were granted leave to remain. Is the British government now saying that their documentation is effectively being ripped up, and that they have to start all over again?

Hear, hear, Name - my 81yo father and 94yo uncle are both in pre-EEC limbo, paperwork long dice disposed of. I predict a Windrush situation for people in their position Angry
