Obtaining a second passport - worth it?

I have been considering applying for a second passport to bypass any possible difficulties entering European countries in the future after Brexit.

My DF is Hungarian. He was born there so as far as I know I should be able to get one.

Has anyone done similar? Is it likely to be worth the effort.

I speak no Hungarian other than yes, no and thank you very much..

Yes they were @DGRossetti - as some family members know to their cost. There is now retrospective recognition of the part they played. The Queen's historic visit included honouring them. As with the entire visit, it was a huge deal.

My fathersGerman. I’m applying for citizenship. Not so much for self but my children. God knows what will happen in the future. I would wish them to have the option of that safe haven, or even just a chance of EU citizenship and all the benefits it brings

In the Brexit climate, I'd grab any EU passport I could. Unfortunately I don't have that option

This. On both counts. The only citizens who will be affected by the ban on FoM are going to be British-only citizens. All other EEA citizens will still have FoM for the other EEA states.

But that of course is what the Brexiteer Tories want. A reasonably captive population who they can exploit with low wages and rubbish jobs.
