Ha ha - our ex-Tory MP certainly knows that now, she got booted out for supporting Leave in a 75% Remain area Smile. Our new, Labour MP stood on a Remain ticket. Sooooo happy.

My MP has consistently demonstrated that he has no interest in what his constituents want.

NinonDeLenclos · 11/06/2017 16:03

Our MP lost her substantial majority and will likely be out at the next election (if I have anything to do with it).

I think my new Lib Dem MP already knows- we are a strong remain area here.

Sunshinesuperman · 12/06/2017 20:37

I did this the morning after, he is a committed leaver and had an increase in his vote but I pointed out the overall picture. I fear talking to a brick wall would have more impact but who knows.

I've done your click link - though my last MP was very ant-brexit and was one of the 48 (?) who voted against Brexit in the commons. Devastated when he stood down - but new MP increased labour's majority from just over 12,000 to nearly 25,000! Hopefully she too will fight to remain in both the customs union and the single market like her predecessor (was in the manifesto). Am also hoping TM struggles along as long as possible and the tories shoot themselves in their other foot to ensure an overwhelming victory for labour and a chance for a better future - and otherwise I will have to leave (work in the City and a hard Brexit is predicted to mean the loss of more than 90,000 jobs in London alone - although the knock on effect for the rest of the country is probably anyone's guess - just don't expect it to be good!)

Our ex-Tory MP also got booted out. Supposedly Remain in a strong Remain area she dutifully voted for A50 and constantly reminded us about 'the will of the people', as a born again Leaver. Once the election was called, she suddenly remembered that she had voted Remain, but it was too late. It was very satisfying to see her demise.

My MP is for hard brexit.

NameChanger22 · 13/06/2017 18:18

I don't want any brexit.

Do we really get to choose hard or soft brexit? Don't all the other EU countries decide for us? I doubt we will be able to say exactly the terms we want and everyone else in Europe will just agree.
