The People Of Britain have spoken,
so now could they all please shut up?
If the People of Britain behave themselves
when they vote, this defiance will stop.

I ask you to please get behind us,
as we turn our backs upon you.
Don't look at the substance or detail.
Just cheer on the Red, White and Blue.

Please embrace our glorious vision,
like a car embracing a tree.
You don't need a strong opposition.
All you need is to listen to ME.

I am a strong stable leader.
(If I say it enough is it true?)
I am a strong, stable leader.
So why care where I'm leading us to?

The truth is whatever we tell you.
So People of Britain, unite!
Don't bother to watch what we're doing
as we take a huge leap to the right.

Don't worry about the deal.
Think we'll walk off that cliff out of spite?
Well probably, hopefully not...
But then again, maybe May might!

Trust us with fair public spending.
As we cut, don't kick up a fuss;
If you can't trust the Tory hardliners,
then really, who can you trust?

Don't ask any awkward questions
about jobs that depend upon trade
We will decide what's important.
Don't ask how those bills will be paid.

Don't worry about Northern Island,
and the prospect of brand new hard borders.
Don't worry about breaking Britain.
Just wave your flags high and applaud us.

Ignore the stench of hypocrisy;
nod along as the tabloid's rage
that dissent is a threat to democracy!
Shame the traitors on the front page.

This myopic interpretation
of Brexit is the only way.
I alone know the will of the nation…
So shut up and get out of my way.

I'm trying my hand at a limerick here:

There was a PM called Treeza
Who thought she could do what she pleasa
She called an election
'Twas wrong direction
Voters preferred Corbyn geezer.

Not that I think the last line will come to pass!

Love it Peregrina!
My limericks always get a bit carried away - I cannot seem to be able to restrain myself to five lines.

Thought of a limerick:

Trust in Davies, Johnson and Fox?
They're less use than a wet cardboard box!
They've no talent, no tact,
and no grasp of the facts,
what a hopeless rabble of cocks.
