Remainers voting Labour - am I missing something ?

Unless I am wildly misinformed, the official stance of the Labour party is to support Brexit ?

So why would a voter who wants to remain in the EU vote Labour ?

My departing Labour MP was one of the cheerleaders for Brexit (not that you would know now, she has disappeared off the radar for some reason)

You'd be right. I agree with Blair that Brexit stance is more important than the party.

Because Brexit is happening now and I'd rather labour be in power once we lose the protection of Europe's law - than the Tories. And i need the NHS.

As a remainer I will vote for the candidate most likely to beat the Tory. Yes, we'll still get Brexit under labour but we won't be getting the other policies that I fundamentally disagree with.

Any left-leaning remainer needs to look at it this way.

The tories are going to win; do you really want them to have a 200 seat majority that will enable them not only to push through brexit but also to roll back what remains of the UK's social and worker protections?

It's a bit Trump and Le Pen: all those so-called leftwingers who couldn't bring themselves to vote for the alternative effectively cast half a vote for a fascist. Do you want to cast half a vote for the Theresa May party? If not then support the candidate most likely to beat your local Tory.

I'm a remainer and I've always voted for Labour in the past but now I can't because of brexit. I'm so disappointed in them. I'm going to vote for the Lib Dems because they're the only party that might do something about the brexit shit fest.

Those who are still voting for Labour because they want social justice are fooling themselves because brexit will mean a lot less social justice. It's not too late to reverse things, we haven't left yet. It's another Tory lie that we have to go through with this madness. I don't think a Labour brexit will look any better than a Tory brexit, we don't get to decide how it all pans out, 27 other countries do.
