Got a positive balance. Enjoy earning interest. How about paying interest?

So your balance goes down - so go spend that money rather than save it.

Has Brexit helped with this?

I thought it was for business accounts, and they are not planning to do it, just planning in case they need to.
Next scare story please!

PortiaCastis · 26/07/2016 15:25

How about building societies?

Marmitelover55 · 26/07/2016 17:59

This would affect us as DH is an IT contractor with a limited company, so he has to be paid into a business bank account. As is the case with all limited companies large and small in this country. If the Bank of England reduce interest rates next month, as widely predicted, then this could be a reality. So not another scare story, just another economic consequence of idiotic-lets-shoot-ourselves-in-the-foot Brexit Sad

Maybe if businesses were penalised for 'saving' they would pay employees more?
