I don't think it's the right time for a general election. Labour don't know what they stand for at the moment. What if there was a low turn out (likely) and a pro eu coalition (Labour, snp, lib dem) won power? (unlikely but not impossible). What do they do then, ignore the referendum? All the brexiters would be up in arms. I think it could cause more problems than it solves.

I don't know why but I get the feeling this question posed by op is a trap so she can rush in and say " but its not democracy".

I feel confident at the moment, its excellent our new PM will be installed so quickly, she is competent and behind the scenes they can concentrate on Brexit and everything else.
