I have been totally shell shocked by the referendum result- I was furious for days and this has given way to sadness for the divisions in our country that I was so ignorant not to have understood before. I've been trying to understand the motivations behind Leave which I've discovered is like peeling an onion- there are so many layers of disappointment, disenfranchisement and lack of opportunity and it is heartbreaking. Anyway, I found this video and think it's really worth a watch; I live not far from here but it might as well be another world- I'm so ashamed to have to admit that.

BrexitentialCrisis I know exactly what you mean, I feel ashamed also not to really understand what it's like for people in areas like this.

I voted to leave but I did so mainly for parliamentary sovereignty, but I do also understand the desire for change.

I just really do hope that leaving brings about the change they so desperately want and need.

We all need to learn from this and I don't mean in the way so many politicians say it.
I really think we had to stop going in the direction we were going. From the Corbett report - maybe we have saved ourselves in the nick of time.

Interesting video but so sad. Decent people left behind by UK right wing austerity policies and globalisation.
