Can't spell and doesn't know what the word actually means. From the OED ^^Full Definition of bigot. : a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance.

Yet leavers are the ones accused of being ignorant and intolerant.

Oh the irony..

Sorry "Professor" but how would you spell bigots? With an apostrophe perhaps?

RufusTheReindeer · 03/07/2016 09:18

I thought that was how you spelt bigots

Its refusing to spell check on my ipad...

Unescorted · 03/07/2016 09:19

Maybe there is a new post Brexit spelling.

RufusTheReindeer · 03/07/2016 09:19

I am missing the point of the definition as well

Misnomer · 03/07/2016 09:23

Also not seeing the issue here...

sleepwhenidie · 03/07/2016 09:26

I don't think you're helping the leave side here OP - is this a reverse? HmmSmile

Sweetgreen · 03/07/2016 09:29

OP, how do you spell Bigots?

Tokelau · 03/07/2016 09:30

I don't understand. The OP said that the spelling is wrong, but it's the same spelling that they used themselves. Confused

The spelling is correct surely. Or have I missed something obvious?

Sweetgreen · 03/07/2016 09:32

Maybe that's why the title is "oh the irony"?

gettingtherequickly · 03/07/2016 09:34

Hahahahahaha

I don't get it?

MrsSchadenfreude · 03/07/2016 09:34

So how would you spell "bigots"?

And your point is...?

NapoleonsNose · 03/07/2016 09:35

That is definitely how you spell 'bigots'. Not seeing the issue either, unless the OP is suggesting that the graffiti artist is bigoted for obstinately refusing to see the Leave side's point of view and therin lies the irony.

RufusTheReindeer · 03/07/2016 09:36

Not sure Op will be coming back

lordStrange · 03/07/2016 09:37

Oh dear, Professor Blush

DustyBustle · 03/07/2016 09:39

irony overload indeed.

I wonder how long it will take MNHQ to delete this one to save the ops embarrassment protect the op's privacy. It's Sunday, I think there will be a long wait.

Fauchelevent · 03/07/2016 09:40

you tried.

SnowBells · 03/07/2016 09:40

Huh? Maybe OP is using a different spellchecker from us?

Weird.

ProfessorPreciseaBug · 03/07/2016 10:06

I have always spelt it with two g's... Oh deam mia culpa..

But it does seem the grafiti person is intolerant of people having a different opinion or idea. I am happy to agree to differ with someone and be civilised. Defacing a poster is to try and deny someone a voice and opinion.

I saw a lot of posters towards the end of the campaign. It seems the remain camp came out towards the end. Which is a goood thing. There was also a lot of vandalism and damaging posters. I did not see any remain ones vandalised. All the attacks were carried out by reminers. ... (unless of course the leaveers were destroying their own posters?)

OP posts:
MrsSchadenfreude · 03/07/2016 10:08

Oh dear, Professor Brexiteer! Grin

Oh wait - when you said "can't spell" - did you mean you? GrinGrinGrin

MrsSchadenfreude · 03/07/2016 10:09

... "mea culpa."

MrsSchulman · 03/07/2016 10:13

Perhaps they are bigots though. Perhaps the 'grafiti person' as you say, knows that they are bigots.

GoudyStout · 03/07/2016 10:13

I think post Brexit apostrophes will become mandatory for all plurals.

See, we're taking back control!

exLtEveDallas · 03/07/2016 10:14

Oh dear. I never do this, but it's crying out for:

Bigots
Mea Culpa
Graffiti
(And the typos of)
Dear
Remainers
Leavers

Really not very well thought out OP

gettingtherequickly · 03/07/2016 10:16

Just what I was about to post Lteve.

It's a bit early to have started drinking OP!
