Watched all the fall out over the last few days and thought really hard about my vote. Still couldn't be happier with my Leave vote. Definitely the right thing to do and would do the same again.

Yes some "Leave" voters researched and had legitimate concerns, but on the whole, the leave campaign was the one run popularly on fear: fear of immigrants, and that fear isn't going to be assuaged anytime soon.

I did not vote Leave, but am utterly dismayed and embarrassed at the attempts to argue with the outcome.

Nope- I voted leave for constitutional reasons. Boris' proposal would be the perfect result as far as I'm concerned: free trade, free movement (I think immigration is a good thing) but without the political integration.

Every leave voter I've spoken to is a ray of optimism and light.

Whilst people are losing their jobs (they must all be the liars, according to another thread, can't possibly be that nice man Mr.Gove and Mr.Farage who lied about it), the economy is crashing around us (Boris: pound very strong!) and there has been a 57% rise in racism reported (no, nothing to do with us, as WE aren't racist).

as alwayys, there are a range of reasons for why people voted. some voted because they knew there might be economic consequences but leaving europe was better, others voted because they liked the idea of independence without thinking much about the consequences or thinking it would not happen to them, or it was already shit for them or it would be better for them.

sure it was the same for remainers. some voted after researching. some just voted based on what someone else said without researching.

there is always spin at election time. no party /side is free of it

no-one knows how the other option would have turned out.

This has become ridiculous. We are watching the predictions of so called Projecy Fear coming true and they still can't see it. I think this has become a matter of pride for many people, to admit they can see what's happening would be to admit they were wrong which isn't going to happen. Keep burying your head in the sand, the largest group of Leave voters will be hardest hit.

They were hit by Tory cuts. They have condemned themselves (and the rest of us) to a tory future. They've cut off Scotland, the strongest protection against the tories, and the EU, which protected their workers rights.

Careful with that superlative, you'll need it by the time the economy has crashed as low as it can go.

Bank shares have been suspended. That's pretty big! Losing AAA rating, huge. And that's before we're even out.

The threads we'll see on here shortly how the poor have been fucked over, etc will be sad. Those reliant on benefits (even just 'top ups') should be concerned.

Last July, that 1000 euros was £695. The day before Brexit it was £761. Now it is £831. Imagine that on a global scale, but in the other direction.

You don't need to be an economist or an expert to work out that this is bad for everyone. Because without money at the top, there isn't money at the bottom.

There is a thread on here about real job losses. Ask those people what has actually happened.

As I understand it the bank shares were only temporarily automatically suspended due to issues surrounding trading activity. That happens occasionally and is set up to protect us from market abuse.
