......what we should have done is vote, then write something like this on the bottom of the paper-

"I do not ever want to have a referendum ever again on ANYTHING. We live in a representative democracy- because direct democracy does not work. Cameron abrogated his responsibility in order placate the far right of his party. And it must not happen again"

I think that might have counted as a spoiled vote. But you could always start a petition about it.
