Everything is bouncing. Pound at near year high

No. They are not predicting ANYTHING yet.

Trading volume is low at the moment. All still very quiet and very cautious. They are going on the basis of the betting at the moment, and there is still some doubt over how reliable that is. (Because of where and how money has been placed). The bookies have admitted, that whilst they think its likely to be remain they also still have their own doubts too.

Don't read too much into anything until much later today.

sandrabedminster · 23/06/2016 10:25

FTSE going up now.

What time do you expect changes?

OP posts:
claig · 23/06/2016 10:26

'What time do you expect changes?'

Tomorrow, when the results are revealed.

RedToothBrush · 23/06/2016 10:30

Depends on how close it is.

And even then its unreliable - as much as anything as a change could influence who turns out to vote. I would treat with real caution for this reason.

Movement could indicate a clear result or a close result as much as what the result could be.

I think a couple of newspapers are running live commentary on the markets today, if you are interested.

lulucappuccino · 23/06/2016 10:32

"Girls". Ugh.

Scarydinosaurs · 23/06/2016 10:32

Girls??

Who exactly are you addressing?

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 23/06/2016 10:32

Why Girls?

RedToothBrush is right, anyway. Financial markets haven't predicted anything and trading is low. Today will be very cautious.

YourPerception · 23/06/2016 10:34

Girls?

The first private exit polls should start making an impact on the pound at lunchtime.

KateLivesInEngland · 23/06/2016 10:39

Did we really need another fucking referendum thread?

BritBrit · 23/06/2016 10:42

I think it is a little earlier for the markets, most people vote at lunch time or early evening after work, polls have only been open 3.5 hours plus the markets are effected by many other factors e.g Tesco's big profits this morning has sent the stock market up

ThatsMyStapler · 23/06/2016 10:43

Girls?

Biscuit
JustCallMeDory · 23/06/2016 10:43

They are, damnit.

Delighted that it looks as though it's going to be a STAY vote, but was hoping to move a bit of money from France today when the markets dipped.

JustCallMeDory · 23/06/2016 10:45

Thanks YourPerception - I'll check again after lunch.

Tiggeryoubastard · 23/06/2016 10:46

The title of this thread predicts a twatty OP. Girls? Fuck off, Cameron, Corbyn, whoever you are.

shinytorch2 · 23/06/2016 10:47

There are a couple of hedge funds who are paying for a private exit poll - there are no official ones - so they can maximise their profit out of this event. I refused to tell the exit poll lady at my polling station how I'd voted.

Tiggeryoubastard · 23/06/2016 10:49

The odd occasion I've been asked I lie, just to give the opposition false hope. Maybe I need more hobbies..........

scoobyloobyloo · 23/06/2016 10:49

Betting odds are at 85% for remain.

Lighteningirll · 23/06/2016 10:51

Girls fuck off for that alone

MachiKoro · 23/06/2016 10:56

'girls'?
Fuck off.
Some politrolls are so obvious, it's sad they're so inept.

sandrabedminster · 23/06/2016 11:36

Oh do one its just the female version of "guys". You can fuxk off the person saying to shut up about the EU ref. This is in the EU ref forum.

Looks like the markets have calmed down. I'm on edge about it all. They stand to make billions out of it with their exit polls, so they should be accurate.

OP posts:
YourPerception · 23/06/2016 11:43

I am an adult female so please call me woman. I am not a female child.

sandrabedminster · 23/06/2016 11:52

Just calm down, some people have a different vocab.

This is about the EU, one of the biggest political decisions in our lives. Still no more major swings on the makers.

OP posts:
Madbengalmum · 23/06/2016 11:54

Another stupid thread.

Surferjet · 23/06/2016 11:55

If we already know what's the point in anyone else voting? It's only 12.00pm? Confused
