Holey tights - can I recycle?

As I don't wear the things - I am hoping those who do - know what to do with the holey ones! My DD has to wear tights to school and favours the thin ones in summer (15 denier?) which she seems to ladder on a daily basis! Anyway what can I do with the old ones - can I put them in the charity clothing donation bins at the recycling plant? They are trashed and can't be worn so no use to them - but do they take stuff like this and put them in material recycling places - if they exist? We don't have such facilities locally as far as I know. I hate the waste!

Make one of these

You can use cotton wool if you don't have any sawdust.

Or make some drawer fresheners by filling them with lavender flowers.

Otherwise, you might find there is a clothing recycling bin at your local tip or supermarket

Lots here too
