How can I recycle my vhs tapes?

I've sent all the prerecorded ones to the charity shop, but what to do with all the blank ones?

There are companies which take them for recycling but I think you have to post them or something which wouldn't be worth it

Last time I looked, couldn't even find anyone who would take them to post. So still have 100s of the things. Someone on Freecycle might want a few?

This is the most recent one I could find. Using them as foundation filling for houses is probably a good idea (as long as they wouldn't leach toxins into the ground???)

Rip all the tape out them and crochet it into shopping bags!
