Old printer - what can I do with it?

We're getting rid of our old printer to have a wireless one. Anyone know of any clever ways to recycle/get rid of the old one? I will merrily freecycle it but wanted to check if there were any charities which could make money out of it or anything similar.

Bumping this because I have an old knackered printer I need to get shot of and I'm reluctant to sneak it into the communal bins under cover of darkness.

If you can't find a charity to take it what about freecycle?

I've found freecycle best for this kind of thing - on my one you can say you are not going to give it to the first caller but are going to wait 24 hours then choose. Then if someone charitible shows up you can give it to them.

Yes freecycle is my fallback if no-one can get any money from it.

Ooh never thought of that traumaqueen, perhaps I could request a donation to somewhere, is that the done thing on freecycle?
