Good books for children on how to be "greener"

My dd and a mindee are very interested in being green (as am I) and we were discussing today about doing a long term project on the issue. I always encouraged it quietly (growing veg with them etc), but this was the first time they asked to find out more, so I want to get some things together for "research". We went to library, but there was very little for their age.

DD is 6 and a very confident reader, and my mindee is 7, but struggles a lot with reading. I need books that are easily accessible to both so I dont put anyone off.

Has anyone got the Eden project kids books? How would you rate them?

Any other books?

This is really good
How does your garden grow
Available from the Works bookshops atm for £3.99 and Borders for about £6

Great projects you can do with kids in the garden - growing stuff, painting stones, making a willow arch
