Very embarrassing mooncup help needed!

Ok, first period since DD4 was born 10.5m ago started yesterday morning. Only my sixth period since DD1 was born 6 years ago!

Anyhow, went shopping and bought a much-coveted mooncup to celebrate which I have found fab so far - no leakage and easy to remove and put in (although I'm finding I have to remove and re-insert it a few times on some occasions before I get it right).

Anyway, this morning I needed to do a poo and, as the leaflet says you can leave it in to poo and to wee, I left it in. Except it came out when I pooed

Also, it did slide down a bit when I ran to catch up to someone earlier today.

Is this inevitable with a 4-times-stretched fanjo? Or am I doing something wrong? My pelvic floor is generally pretty strong (except for when trampolining ). Am I expecting too much when it wasn't that long ago I last gave birth?

what size are you using? there are 2.

Fwiw i think the mooncup is fab - but for the first time ever (4yrs) i had leakage last month - everyday. It's either time for a new one - or next size up, sigh.

Oh god I want to name change for this but haven't got time. Need sleep.

But I tended to grab a wodge of toilet paper and kind of hold it in, just in case, when I did a poo (baby is 6m so haven't used it for a while!)

And I guess while you're running you'll just have to squeeze!!

I can't do a poo with mine in either. Is not a problem though really.

I don't have a problem with it slipping down though. I push mine up quite far so maybe that is the reason.

The 'problem' with having to insert it several times does get better. I could do mine in my sleep now!

I've got the right size. Can you put it in too far? I know you can't get it lost, but will it do any harm if it's too far up?

i find it starts out quite low down and leaky, then i end up shoving it much higher up. by end of period it is quite a challenge to remove. need liners for first few days too.

I find that it can come down/ out when on the loo.

I also find it difficult to wee sometimes if its in a certain position, esp in the morning or if I have got a very full bladder.

I remove it to poo.

It slipped down a little last period and I wondered why. Perhaps it's the weather.

I'm going to take it out to use the loo, I think. But I'm just worried about it coming out by mistake at other times too, now!

I don't think it would come right out at other times. The rim would stop it surely.

I have the 'MoonBucket' (as another MNetter calls it) size.

Is this definitive proof I have a capacious fanjo?

re. moonbucket. I haven't had any leaking, thank goodness, just unconfidence in it being securely in if I do anything vigorous! Which is annoying because they say 'it's ok if you run/do sport/whatever' in the leaflet. Why don't they make a size Z?

I leave mine in to poo but its threads like this that make me check the pan before I flush

Out of interest - does it float?

Perhaps your fanjo is fine and very pert, but the muscular wall that separates your bottom from your fanjo (can you tell I'm no medic? ) is slightly erm...challenged? So that when you have a poo the muscle involved in pooing impacts on the wall of said fanjo and pushes Mooncup down?

Cain - I guess it depends how full of blood it is! Mine kind of bobbed around just under the surface

I sneezed earlier and the stump (where I cut the stem off) dug into my vaginal wall and that hurt, but it didn't actually move, as I'd been worried about.

I guess I'll grow in confidence with it the more I use it. Unfortunately, my periods are probably going to be few and far between at the moment, because of bfing still!

I can't leave mine in to poo - even before DS, it tended to come out otherwise, and I don't think I was particularly capacious!

I'm still using my pre-DS size and it isn't coming out or leaking, though.
