I have a 2y old and 4.5y starting school in September and would like to cycle to school (school we have eventually been allocated is 1.5 miles away). I am a fairly experienced cyclist and have a Specialized Myka HT Sport mountain bike with hybrid tyres. I regularly carry the 2 year old on the back in a Bobike mini.
The 4.5y old can cycle well, been off stabilisers for a year or so. However, the journey is through a busy town centre and, although I think I can do most of it via pelican crossing and pavements there will be the odd bit of roads and constant cycling very close to the road so I don't feel safe yet letting him ride solo (though he could, I think).
Is it mad to think I could pull 2 of them? I was looking at trail gators, islabike, tag alongs etc and saw this one which looks quite good and maybe less likely to get in way of bobike? followme
Does anyone else attempt this? Are the "hitch up his bike ones" or the one wheelers better (more stable)?
