Has anyone tried wrap-n-mat??

Useful or a bit of a gimmick?

I use them for DS's school lunch, much easier than a tupperware box or a plastic bag IMO.

Overmydeadbody · 27/05/2009 15:19

We use them and tbh they are the best thing since sliced bread.

Seriously, I wouldn't want to ever be without one now.

DS has his sandwiches in them every single day, we take them on picnics and when we're eating out.

No need for cling film, foil, sandwich bags, or anything else wateful and throw-away, and easy to clean too.

I highly recommend them.

Overmydeadbody · 27/05/2009 15:19

Not gmmicky at all. Just sensible.

imaginewittynamehere · 27/05/2009 15:25

ok unanimous approval, sounds good!

Now I will be using them daily for dh & dd, do I need 1 each or more? Do you wash them inbetween uses or just wipe them?

& thanks for the quick responses bran & omdb!!

I'm also interested to hear how easy they are to clean...with the washing up or int he washing machine?

would they be easy to make?

snigger · 27/05/2009 20:43

Utterly utterly fab - I bought ours after a thread on here, from re-wrap it - they have cooler patterns!

snigger · 27/05/2009 20:45

I just wipe ours, with an occasional wash when DD decides to leave a half chewed apple in the cool bag on top of it - they wash and wipe fine, and I reckon they'd be a doddle to make - except for me, if it can't be done with wonderweb or glue, I don't do it.

These look great - im getting some

imaginewittynamehere · 28/05/2009 16:33

Thanks snigger - have ordered 1 to see how we get on (I also suspect they would be easy to make so could use the official one as a template;) ), will let you all know how we get on .

Dietstartstomorrow& Innat did you take the plunge?

We have a couple - DH likes 2 sarnies at lunch so often uses both, but they're great for picnics, and I make wraps short and fat and can fit them in too

Definitely worth it if you have a lot of sarnies
