I seem to remember a notice in the UK saying no pyrex. I dont think there's anything on the bins here.

yes go for it

spicemonster · 03/05/2009 21:33

I've never seen anything saying that and I'm in the UK. I recycle pretty much everything.

in the UK you can't. i
think it's because it melts at a much higher temp than regular glass. soemthing like that anyway. so it cna't be recycled with it

poopscoop · 03/05/2009 21:33

i have done it before

verylapsedrunner · 03/05/2009 21:35

Ours would take it www.rbwm.gov.uk/web/wm_household_recycling.htm

BlueCowWondersAgain · 03/05/2009 21:40

can't in ours - no pyrex, drinking glasses etc as they are toughened

southeastastra · 03/05/2009 21:40

isn't pyrex indestructable

thisisyesterday · 03/05/2009 21:43

thank you thisis - I just read that website, seems clear enough. It's just possible that they collect Pyrex separately here, I will ask.
