So I buggered up this months budget again and I now realise that I have to be a lot more careful with my money.
I do have a bit of a shopping problem. I think that I'm an emotional shopper. I don't buy designer but I do tend to go over board on sales items, ebay etc and justify myself by saying that the items are cheap. The trouble is I buy more of them. I tend to go a bit nuts at the beginning of the month thus leaving me with nest to nothing at the end. I needf to learn to budget properly.
This month I really needed a wardrobe so I bought a cheap but good one of ebay. This would have been ok but didn't stop shopping.
I have started to use freecycle which I can see being quite addictive and great fun. I am not online so have to use computer at the local library, thus saving a bill. I wouldn't mind going online if I sort my budget out.
How else can I budget effectively and save money yet still have fun and without the feeling of denial? I am hoping to save a little each month despite being on benefits. I am also hoping that my lifestyle makeover will be more environmentally friendly.
Please can you share your budgeting and frugal living tips in all areas!

Don't buy anything you don't need, even if it is on sale.

Log onto ebay less often, and only when you need a specific item. Ditto going to the shops. Always try Freecycle first.

Set up a specific account for your savings, so you can watch them grow (not that you'll get much joy out of the interest rates)!

Good luck.
