Hmm some of it seems to be as pricey as it would be new in the shops.

noddyholder · 21/03/2009 09:20

Blimey primark stuff is more expensive than in the shops!

chuckeyegg · 21/03/2009 09:24

You probably have to look through to find some things but then also your money is going to a good cause.

When you read articles like this about how many clothes we are buying each year and how many end up in landfill. It's quite depressing, the clothes may not be very cheap but surely from an ethical reason it's worth considering. I thought this was the ethical living board.women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/fashion/article5332366.ece

They want £2.99 for a plain white, girls vest.

You can get a whole pack of them for that much in alot of shops.

chuckeyegg · 21/03/2009 10:23

I got a Boden skirt for £8.99 and dress from East for £9.99 but as I stated I am doing it for ethical reasons not financial. Like all charity shops you need to have a good look to find something that suits you and your pocket. You obviously want to make it plain it is too expensive and that is your right, but I do not agree.

Oh fgs chuckyegg, take a chill pill.

All I did was point out that some of the stuff they are selling it stupidly priced.

If you can afford to pay silly prices for things then good for you.

chuckeyegg · 21/03/2009 10:28

Yes exactly 'some of the stuff' and I don't consider what I paid silly prices. I am perfectly chilled thank you.

Some stuff is overpriced, but you can do searches like "under £5". I have just spent £26, very chuffed it's going to charity. I will definatly be using that site more! Thanks (I got the notebook they advertised at the end )

LadyOfWaffle · 21/03/2009 10:44

It's like giving to charity and getting clothes in the post in return There was a lovely dress on there but can't wear them as I am breastfeeing [sob]

WowOoo · 21/03/2009 11:42

Got some books and OK pair of jeans from this site befoer. V.expensive for charity, but good cause.

Got some coffee and choc and candles as I thought might as well as I'm paying delivery charge. Daft logic!
