We got served friday. It is going to court.

Speaking to new solicitor on monday, court date is set for end of april. Really need to figure out what strategy to take, and I know one of the other landowners are onto the environmental side and building up a case regards the salmon. It is us and him, against the rest.

Hi DB,
It is a long drawn out saga about some people wanting to build a power plant above some waterfalls. The other landowners own land along the river and above the river, my family own half of a stretches of waterfalls. The other half is owned by a man who is also against the build. It is a salmon bearing river. They will ruin the "mating grounds" for salmon if they build the powerplant. The river will be very reduced and wont be good for salmon. It will also affect the habitat of several spieces of birds and animals. In my opinion, electricity from natural resources is good, but not if you have to ruin a river where salmon go to breed. Imagine a powerplant in virgin forest and in the middle of mountains. "No way Jose!" -is what I say....

ooh sounds complicated.
i have nothing intelligent to add though.
just unintelligent things like..woohoo you're own waterfall, that's soooo coooool.
that sort of thing
good to see you here.

well, it wont really be a waterfall much longer if those guys get their way, only a heap of rocks surrounded by greenery.

It better not happen.

do you need me to chain myself to the rocks?
i'll bring my own chains.

QuintessentialShadow · 09/03/2009 20:34

Why, thank you, that is a splendid idea!

I think I need more than ONE person chained to a rock - and it will cause some difficulty, as of now the rocks are under fast torrents of water - so we would have to be a little creative!

Lets suggest it as an "extreme MN weekend rebellion adventure meet up"
