Fairy hammocks in minky fabric are strokably gorgeous and i love them for night for day I love these. Perfect fit, brilliant.

SheherazadetheGoat · 21/01/2009 12:39

my first reaction was wtf is the fairy hammock? hten i looked it up. that is the WORST name i have ever heard for a product EVER. therefore you must not use it.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 21/01/2009 12:48

arf. It was coined by Jo Brand and is ironic so it it ok.

licquorice · 21/01/2009 12:49

Agree awful name! Think was first used by Jo Brand. Thanks WTWTW. Not seen that make. I wasn't sure if I would want fluffy minky fabric "down there"...

Can't fault Wee Notions, tbh - they are great. Howevere, have a look at Luxury moon - i got a Jam Sponge from there and it's been brilliant.

I've just ordered some from Ella's House as I was ordering some new extra large nappies for DS1. I'll let you know when I receive them and start using them!

nannyL · 23/01/2009 23:53

i have some of these minki and some of these moonrabbits

i prefer the minki ones, and if you used the moon rabbots you definitely need a waterproof layer

morocco · 25/01/2009 22:01

am happy with wee notions patterned cotton with bamboo inners, v comfy and leakproof

girlandboy · 26/01/2009 09:58

I can also vote for Luna Wolf pads here but I have also had a few flannel liners from AngelTots here

They are both well made and I've had mine about a year now and they still look like brand new.

I am also looking at the fairy hammocks - the minkee ones look soooooooooo soft.

Katw3kitts · 26/01/2009 10:04

I've just got some Imse Vimse cotton liners ones for all the reasons you mentioned.

From the site on the classifieds here.

So far so good

Feminine Wear sell all of them!! I bought some Fairy Hammocks with chocolates on! They are fab, and some Imse Vimse's and a Lunapad. I love the chocolate one. The postage was free as well

The minkee fabric like these, and these are luxury! they're soft and comfy, they don't stain at all and have that layer of PUL.
I find the Ella's House ones go cardboardy stiff after time and washing/drying.
For value, popolini ones are great, and have the 2 inserts so you can have them for light/heavy (I started with these and treated myself to buying the odd minkee one now and again).

girlandboy · 06/03/2009 09:06

My minkee fairy hammock was delivered this week. It's so lovely and soft. The minkee fabric is like a softer version of old fashioned velvet.

Very thin, and very absorbant but still feels really dry.

I'm well chuffed!

I've been using Lunapads for a few years and had some FHs after my last birth. I'd recommend them both.

blogqueen · 12/03/2009 09:57

I have just bought myself some Moontimes pads from Feminine Wear - they have 4 inserts so you can use as many as you like. I bought the ones with lips on!!
Just noticed that they sell the DivaCup, too

ChristinePlushPants · 04/04/2009 11:37

I like the Ella's House Panty Liners - I have a cool magenta pink one with polka dots on! Also like the Wemoon Lights which are also panty liners. Imse Vimse are good value too. Another site to check out is Earthwise Girls for a good range.
