Could using a mooncup be making my thrush worse?

That's it really, recurrent thrush for the last few momnths, only had it once in my life before I started using my mooncup. Been treated with pessaries and oral tablet, using creams as is dh. Also having protected sex in case we are passing it back and forth.

It's only really bad when i've got my period and I'm wondering if having a mooncup up my fanjo for 8 days a month is making things fousty up there

Obviously I'm thorough with washing and emptying it.Anyone have any insight?

Sorry never used a mooncup, but itchy painful bits I know about, so didnt want to leave you unanswered, I would say that hormones can and do effect the skin down there so it may be the hormone time of the month change that starts off your troubles, and the cup is coincidence, maybe.

Have a google so much stuff that could help you, if no one comes along.

Think Colacubes could be right re hormones however a friend kept getting thrush in her boobs when expressing - and Milton was suggested to her as the best steriliser for equipment. Maybe worth giving your mooncup a soak?

Thanks ladies, have been boiling mooncup to sterilise but will get some milton.

agree with cola that hormones defo make things worth - and milton is good as it is anti fungicidal so shoudl get rid of any thrush.

Have you been taking lactobiofidullus tablets -that seemed to help me (had completely miserable time of it after being prescribed antibiotics after having dd).
