what is the most eco friendly heating

the central heating a gas fire or a halogen heater or maybe fan heater we haven't got any on atm

Fan heaters eat electricity afaik.

Not sure about halogen heaters.

thanks that is one of them ruled out then just woinderign what i sthe cheapest most eco friendly way to heat the house

Dunno really!

We've got a mixture of storage heaters and log burner.

I suppose there's something UN-eco friendly about them. We get the wood for free, and the storage heaters are on economy 7, so it's not TOO expensive, but I don't know about eco friendly.

Heating one room only is probably better economy-wise tbh.
So gas fire or halogen heater for 1 room.

Is it a "proper" gas fire though? Ours is more decorative iykwim and apparently a lot of heat goes up the chimney but it looks v pretty.

yeh ours is just one out of argos it seems a waste to heat 8 radiotrs if we could use halogen heater or summit and if it was cheaper it would be a bonus aswell
