Faith in Nature Shampoos and dry scalp/mild dandruff

I want to stop using head and shoulders shampoo and switch to Faith in Nature shampoo(or a paraben free shampoo) but I get a flakey scalp and find the head and shoulders is the only thing that works.

Does anyone know whether one of Faith in Natures Shampoos is any good for a dry scalp or any other brand which is paraben free.

The reason I'm interested in Faith in NAture is because it's the only brand my local health shop stock and live miles from the nearest city to get a better choice. But could order online I suppose.

I really like faith in nature, think the products are brilliant, but no idea re the dry scalp thingie.

You could always check out their website and see whether any are suitable for dandruff. I would second that their shampoos and conditioners, at least, are fab!

You could phone them and ask. We've had no problems with them.

Thank you, yes good idea I'll give them a bell.

DP has bad dry scalp problems and needs to use Nizoral every couple of weeks but wants a gentler one in between. He used to use Pantene but they changed it plus he too wanted a greener option. He tried the Faith in Nature tea tree one for dandruff but found his scalp went raw & flaky and needed more frequent applications of Nizoral. He has now used the Body Shop ginger anti dandruff shampoo for the past couple of years & found it suits him well and smells good too. Not sure if parabens free though.

My dd bought a shampoo bar from Lush with great results. It was a round pink bar (which looked like it was covered in hundreds and thousands!), and it seems to have lasted about 3 months. It has now got so small that it's broken in two.

There is one that is meant for dandruff, but it smelled rather odd, this one and my dd didn't like the smell, so the assistant recommended another which is this one and this has worked beautifully. She's had no flakes at all

Or looking at the Lush website, there is also this which looks good.

Hope this helps. Don't know if you have a branch of Lush near you, but they do do mail order.
