Personally I prefer the Mooncup.
2 reasons:
1 - I don't like the colour of the Keeper
2 - I prefer the pretty pink ribbon (on the Mooncup pouch) to the blue one (on the Femmecup pouch).

I've got a mooncup & love it....wouldn't personally go for the keeper as it's made from rubber & I am sensitive to latex. Not seen the femmemcup before...looks like the mooncup to me

terramum · 06/08/2008 15:11

...oh & I went for the mooncup purely because Boots stoked it & my Mum very nicely paid for it using her points (she gets her glasses from boots opticians & so has loads of them spare usually!)

nannyL · 06/08/2008 22:45

you have a pink ribbon

me one is blue but if i could have chosen i would have selected pink

I love my mooncup and would def recommend it

NigellaTheOriginal · 06/08/2008 22:49

now i know the keeper is brown but being rubber s it softer? am rather happy with my mooncup but am wondering if softer would be even better?

ChukkyPig · 06/08/2008 23:08

Well

I read this with interest as am a day 2 new mooncup user and having some... erm... extraction problems.

Have checked the sites and femmecup instructions on insertion and removal are so poor they're laughable. Obviously just a mooncup copy with no expertise behind it.

And I don't really fancy a brown one.

Think my extraction problems will pass once I get the knack of it (I sincerely hope!!!)

Chukky - bearing down makes it easier to reach it so you can pinch the end & break the seal

ChukkyPig · 07/08/2008 21:20

Thanks Terra I'm sure practice is all that's needed...!

I have used the keeper for over 10 years...same one. It is made of a natural GUM rubber so there is no latex. I often can't comforably wear a tampon...it feels pinchy and tight...but NEVER feel the keeper. It is awesome. A very occasional soak in cider vinegar. Easy in/out. Love it!

The Mooncup is made in Brighton, England. It is made from silicone.
The Keeper is from the USA and is no good if you are allergic to latex!
The Femmecup is French.

natural GUM rubber is latex
