eco alternative to furniture polish

My (ahem)cleaner has been asking me to buy more polish the stuff that comes in an aerosol. What can she use instead, or is it even necessary isn't a duster just as good?

If you don't want her to use polish just tell her you are happy for her to dust.

Failing that - white vinegar and water mix 50/50 sprayed on works well on most surfaces.

The feather dusters from the flylady website www.flylady.net are fab. I polish furniture every month or two and use these in between times. They are really wonderful.
