Anyone got a Powabyke?

Am thinking about getting one -- would like to cycle more, but we live at the top of a steep hill which is a bit offputting. About 2 miles from nearest shops, kids' school etc so reckon I could use one for a lot of the small journeys I currently do in the car.

Just wondered if anyone already has one and if so, would you recommend it?

We keep seeing one parked outside M&S; sometimes it has a kiddie-thing attached. I almost lust after it, but not quite.

I have also thought about buying one. I see someone on theirs with their lo on the back. They are at least £1000 in our local bike shop but I think you can get them cheaper in Argos.

They are about £595 on the Powabyke website here

Interesting to know you can put child seat on back -- doesn't mention that on website.

Bet it would pay for itself quite quickly in terms of fuel saved if I used it exclusively for short journeys instead of the car -- but wonder if I really would?

Would love one myself.
A guy around here has one and i noticed him one day coming towards me UP A HILL without moving the pedals and then i realised what he had.
We have lots of hills here as well, although its great to go down to the local shop (downhill), its a total PITA getting back home.
Not sure about the cycle seat, suppose if the powerpack is not over the back wheel then it should be OK.

They almost look like the moped i had when i was 17!
