We get through a lot of Epson & Epson type ink cartidges (Im Jet), and I cannot find anywhere to dispose of them - similarly batteries.
Earlier I rang my local recycling department at the council and was told that the nearest place for recycling batteries was a 50 mile round trip away & there was nowhere where I could hand in my old ink cartridges.
I have checked out Tesco - they do not accept them, Epson will take back there own but obviously not a third party type.
I was told by the council to put my cartridges & batteries in our regular black bin (landfill)
Anyone got any ideas?

Do you have a cartridge world near you. I think they might accept used cartridges.
Whenever I buy my ink cartridges they provide an envelope for me to send the old one back to the. (Often get a discount on the next purchase).

Battery recycling - no idea, I live in Wiltshire and they don't do it yet (or so I've been told by my local recycling centre)

Just found a website www.battery.ukf.net/address.htm
I don't understand it but it says its to do with recycling batteries.
