I'm trying to find somewhere to recycle an old monitor and a laptop battery in London

I have an old PC monitor, large style, which still works, but I no longer need. I also have a spent laptop battery. I am trying to find somewhere I can drop them for either safe disposal or recycling. All the places I have approached only deal with companies getting rid of large amounts of kit, not just one, and our local tip just has piles and piles of monitors left out in the rain, which I doubt are recycled. Anyone got any thoughts? I am in SW London and willing to drive a short way to drop them off.

I think there is a place, wilbur - I have the website saved on my other login, will switch and look...

ComputerAid International - recycles for third world countries and you can drop off (N London).

Computers for Charities - doesn't specify dropping off but does say no home pick-ups. They're in Hailsham though.

Has spec of what they are looking for.

Thank you for those, I'm sure I'll find something.

Notjustmom - you're right about charities being picky. I tried local schools and charity shops and they all said no. It's difficult with all the electrical regulations, I think.

Wendy - have emailed the one in Bushey Rd, it's not too far from us. Thanks!
