Reunsable sandwich bags (NOT boxes) ? Do they exist?

I need something I can fold right down to save space (long story to do with steps on one side of railway platform/folding pushchaur/toddlers).

So none of those clip shut boxes.

We don't seem to have many plastic bags as we grow a lot of veg and the rest is from the farmers market/box scheme.

So I need a bag that I can reuse and that is easy to clean.

Any thoughts?

Wow that is cool furball!! I use the sandwich bags from the supermarket that have those seals that click together (like a ziploc but no zip). We get ours in tesco but i do seem to remember them being hard to find last time we bought some.

We wash them along with the rest of our washing up and reuse them loads of times. turn them inside out to wash them and dry them over a wooden spoon or something. not completely sustainable but better than using them once. they probably last several months before wearing out.

Furball, they look great. Has anyone used them?

I've just ordered one. DS1 is about to start full days at his nursery and as he only eats tuna sandwiches (ever) they look ideal.

I have 2 of these and DD 11 and DS 5 have been using them for their school packed lunches. Apparently they've both had lots of compliments and interest in them. They work really well. I rinse them each evening and hang them up so they're dry again by the morning, although you could probably just wipe the plastic side. We have the white and black spotty one and the camouflage one btw.

califrau I am sure you can get these in the U.S... it would be finding the website, but I think I saw these linked to before, but can't remember where, they had cowboy prints and all sorts of macho styles.

try this
They are in the US and also make a 'Grande' for mansize sandwiches.

Lidl do the ziploc sandwich bags, like the ones Innat describes - or they did, I bought some ages ago although we don't use them very often. They are very sturdy and would def be OK to wash & reuse multiple times.
