The ones we have tried no longer take electrical equipment. Its a work photocopier so its big, but in perfect working order.

Be a shame just to tip it.

You could try a local branch of CVS (Council for Voluntary Services I think). They sort of co-ordinate local voluntary organisations, provide a one-stop-shop for people wanting to do some voluntary work, etc. If they don't need it themselves they may know a charity that does

Thanks guys. Will try CVS and if all else fails, freecycle. Its such a hefer of a machine it'll probably be difficult for many people to pick up.

A lot of charities don't take electrical equipment any more due to the WEEE legislation (or whatever its called)
