ingenious ways to reuse old laddered tights?

I've just sorted out my drawers, and found lots of pairs of laddered tights. I don't want to just throw them away. Can you suggest any fabulous ideas to reuse them around the house?

I used to cut them up and use them as hairbands depending on how long and thick your hair is.

stuff the ends full of human hair, tie them up in little bundles, and send them to me to hang in my shrubs and bushes to deter the deer from eating my garden

I don't have a garden, so no deer to scare away.

I do remember doing the hairband thing at school. Will have to try it again and see if they stay in my shorter hair.

If you've got 2 pairs the same colour with a ladder in only one leg each. Cut laddered leg off at the gussety join bit (where it goes darker) then wear them as normal. You get a control pant effect into the bargain!!
(I suppose everyone knows that though)

Or you can cut the foot off, stuff with cotton wool tie at end, paint a face on it and sprinkle top with cress seeds and grow hair (for the kids not yourself obviously!!)

oh, shame you have no garden - cut into strips they make great stuff for tying up plants

cut up they also make good washable stuffing for soft toys

In Peru you can take them to a little shop on the corner and they run them through a machine that stitches them up again!

cut them up and use them as a filling for cushions or draught excluders.

Lol when I was a student I practically lived in Black opaque tights.

When they laddered I used to cut the laddered leg off at the top then put on two 'pairs' iyswim.

Rather silly though, thank god I can just buy new ones these days.
