I have decided to bite the bullet and go with my eco-warrior instincts so the party bags for DD's 3rd birthday party consist of a party bag "herewww.littlecherry.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=3_119&products_id=643" with a small terracotta pot, a small bag of compost and a pack of seeds (I've got pumpkin, nasturtium and mini sunflower). I will put a piece of birthday cake in too. Is this enough or do I need to get a little toy of some kind?

I was also thinking of decorating the pots with stickers of some kind or do you think that the stickers could be part of the party bag?

Any input (apart from telling me it is all a crap idea and that I will be confronted by 15 screaming and disappointed 3 year olds when I hand over the bags) very welcome.

Its a lovely gift and parents will appreciate at the time and kids will appreciste later when they are planting. But for immediate effect I would include chocolate.

see if oxfam have any divine choc coins left from xmas - divide them up , a couple of coins to each bag - ethical and cheap all in one!

Sheet of stickers instead of toy. And mini choc bar.

Sounds good to me. Don't fret too much!!!

Good idea. M&S might have some little chocolates too.

m&s have little organic teddy bear biscuits at the moment... but would agree that chocolate is fairly essential! Otherwise, sounds lovely...

v. good idea.

sound great, personally if you're giving them food at the party I wouldn't worry about the bag other than the cake but if you're worried its not enough then why not a wee chocolate

def do the stickers, because although it is a lovely idea, three year olds expect to open and play with the contents right away. I can jsut imagine mine would be trying to pot the seeds on the way out to the car!
