Recipes for DIY vegan cleaning products, shampoo and body wash?

I am vegan and I have sensitive skin so I am trying to make my own vegan cleaning products, shower liquid and shampoo.

So far I have only made DIY hair and face masks using things like coconut oil, bananas, honey, olive oil and essential oils but I want to expend what I can do at home.

Could anyone share their recipes?

I keep reading about people using things like white vinegar, castile soap, baking soda...

I am also curious as to where to source the above. Any recommendation for ordering them online?

Hi OP, I make a cleaning spray made from one third white vinegar, two thirds water and a small splash of eco friendly washing up liquid. Seems to work well on glass windows and my kitchen worktops, but it can't be used on polished or stone surfaces (think it's too acidic) best do a small patch test if in doubt!

Castile soap, about a teaspoon, diluted in a water spray bottle works well to clean most things. Essential oils can be added, just give the bottle a shake before use.

You mentioned shampoo, I use shampoo and conditioner bars to cut down on plastic waste and they last a long time too. I don't use shower gel, I've replaced it with bar soap again no plastic waste and lasts a long time.

I use coconut oil and almond oil as skin cleansers and moisturizers.

Bicarbonate of soda can be mixed with water or washing up liquid to make a cleaning scrubbing paste for bathrooms.

I've also tried making my own deodorant with coconut oil, arrowroot powder, bicarbonate of soda and essential oils with varying degrees of success! There's lots of recepies online for this but go easy on the bicarbonate of soda quantities if you have sensitive skin.

Hope that helps 😀

Have a look at the books & social media of Nancy Birtwhistle.
Edited to say that she lists stockists as well.
