Had a Birthday party and couple of Guests brought cake as gift. With most of the people trying to avoid sweets. There is left over cake. There is a couple of slices taken out of it.
what do I do with this cake, I am not eating Sugar and husband is diabetic, He will eat the cake if it is in the house.
In general is there a way of distributing excess cooked/not packed food for needy people for future reference.

Take it into work? Or freeze it so you can eat it moderation.

I doubt you'll find anywhere that will take unpackaged cake off your hands to give to others. It's just not worth the risk.

Most cake freezes well unless fresh cream (slice first). Food banks in my area wouldn't take something that has been partially consumed. I always go round to elderly neighbours after DS' birthday, most appreciate a slice of cake!

I usually freeze, or take along to work/hobby. Failing that, neighbours are always grateful for cake.

I and husband both working from home, yes work is excellent way to finish off party excess! Ah I have forgotten how it is to work in office in these last 3 years!
I have delivered it to food bank, They wont give it to clients but volunteers are happy to eat cake.

Elderly neighbours is a great idea!
Thanks Everyone for the suggestions.
