Re-coating dishwasher shelves?

Our dishwasher shelves are quite rusty, have been since we moved into our house (integrated dishwasher). Does anyone know if it’s possible to get the shelves re-coated? Sprayed?

I’ve looked at buying new and they seem almost as expensive as a new dishwasher, I’d rather go the eco route and just fix the rust problem. Our gas hob is the same, the coating is coming off and looks like they should just be able to be re-coated but I’m having no luck googling such a service. Does anyone know what it would be called?

Very late to this, but depending on how far gone the dishwasher racks are, you could try these:

They show them just for putting on the tips but they're very easy to cut with a knife so you can slice the tops off and then slide them to the bottom of the prongs - that's what I did to cover bits where the coating had worn off.

I guess you could also slice them lengthways along one side to allow you to fit them around the connecting wires, but I haven't tried this so don't know if they would stay put.
