Is it just me, or does today's media imply that if you live a "green" life you are a good person, and vice versa? Who else disagrees?

Can't believe I have just read a poster who feels guilty for getting a car to drive her wheelchair-bound daughter around in! How can this be a bad or unethical thing to do, seriously noone would have a problem with that would they?

I am not disputing that saving the planet is a good thing, but surely it cannot be the only measure of a person's value in the world!

I am sure Scrooge was very environmentally friendly as he never bought anything - does this illustrate my point?

It's abit silly being made to feel anything because of the media. They change tack on issues more often than they change their knickers.

True but it still winds me up, as I think this insidiously wangles its way into general thinking. This thread I was reading was headed "ashamed" - just to look after her child by having a car!
