Ok, we use ES bulbs in places like the hall/stairs, where lights get left on, but I've just tried putting a '60 watt' bulb in the bedroom and it takes about 10mins to get light enough to see anything, and when it's full on I can't see well enough to find a pair of tights in the drawer!!
What's the solution?! Is there such a thing as a really bright ES bulb or is the fact that they're too bloody dim the whole point?!!!

replace it with a 100watt equivalent bulb

widely available in all good supermarkets and hardware stores

I have loads of energy saving bulbs in my house... (all are actually)

my favourite ones, that get bright the quickets, pretty much straight away, are the tesco value ones.

they are much better than my expensive phillips ones
