Keep a box of matches in there - strike 1, let it burn, waft it around a bit, drop it in the loo - if it still whiffs, do it again.

Tis magic

A few drops of essential oil on a cotton wool pad is nice too.

I saw the match thing on 'American Dad' WendyWeber - made a change as most things I know have been learnt through watching The Simpsons

coby · 25/01/2008 22:53

is it OK to put matches down the loo

PeachesMcLean · 25/01/2008 22:53

Doesn't the match just float in the loo? You can't flush that away can you?

Tommy · 25/01/2008 22:53

heard about the match thing

you could try an essential oil burner - I had one that sat on the light bulb and you out oil in it.

WendyWeber · 25/01/2008 22:54

Well you could do the oil too, but do the match first, it absolutely removes the nasty smell rather than just overlaying it.

coby, I learnt the match trick on here - I think it was Soupdragon or CountessDracula who educated me (obviously they have powerfully smelly loos )

They do flush away after soaking for a bit, Peaches.

Otherwise drop it in the bin, but I'm always afraid it will set fire to a tissue or something (mind you that would really improve the odour )
