Got a question about recycling please..

you know those packets that fresh pasta comes in?(and such like)
well does that go into the bin with the plastic bottles OR can i return it to tescos with my surplus carrier bags to be recycled.
Im not recycling as well as i could....want to do better.

oh, im not sure, but you know that only 15% of things that go in those bins for plastic get recycled. apparently there are SOOOO many types of plastic, that it just isnt worth the effot sorting all the different kinds out. so i bet all that gets recycled is milk bottles and fizzy drink bottles. sad really as people put a lot of effort into it. i would put the pasta thing in your lastic bin, but im not too sure to be honest.

Those packets can't go with the poly bags, its a different kind of plastic.

Places that take plastic bottle for recycling are usualy limited to 02 PE-HD eg shampoo bottles and 01 PET fizzy drink bottles some of those trays are made of PET so they could go in. The trays made of 03 PVC might be able to go with them as some bottle are made of PVC

Places that take poly bags are limited to 04 LD-PE eg carrier bags and polythene wrappings.

05 PET eg marg tubs micro meal trays and 06 PS polystyrene can't go with these.

I have a plastic bottle and bag skipp nearby so loads goes in it.

ooh marg tubs go to play school to be used for paints. i NEVER buy micro tubs.
its such a waste to put them in land fill waste tho.
